Ever Press Forward
As a Catholic University, our Catholic identity is rooted in our convictions and mission. We at St. Thomas want to communicate our commitment to the common good. Our founder Archbishop Ireland said, "I seek no backward voyage across the sea of time; I will ever press forward." Ever Press Forward is our Association of Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASACCU) 2023 conference theme.
Ever Press Forward as we educate morally responsible leaders that commit to acting wisely, thinking critically, and working skillfully to advance the common good. We are excited to share our unique location, with campuses on either side of one of the mightiest rivers in the world at the heart of the upper Midwest. ASACCU enables us to engage in positive conversation about the distinctive role of student affairs higher education in creating a world in which all can thrive. Our collective work has never been more important and more relevant to the challenges of our world.

For New Conference Attendees
Catholic 101 & ASACCU Introduction
We invite all new conference attendees to the Catholic 101 and ASACCU Introduction session.
This session will provide new conference attendees:
- Welcome to the ASACCU association and summer conference.
- Background to all practitioners in a Catholic context including rituals, spirituality of Catholicism, how that informs our work and basics for non-Catholics.
- Conference expectation and opportunities.
The session is lead by three ASACCU Board Members:
- Mary Geller
- Rev. John Donato
- Dr. Lisa Kirkpatrick
Session will take place:
- Tuesday, June 27
- 4-5pm
- Location: ICF LL16A/B
Getting to Campus
The address for the University of St. Thomas is: 2115 Summit Avenue Saint Paul, MN 55105.
What follows are directions to the area where the residence halls are clustered together: From the Minneapolis St Paul International Airport: Take MN-5 east toward St. Paul (for about 2 miles). Exit onto Edgecumbe Road. Continue on Edgecumbe for a little more than half a mile).Turn left onto St. Paul Ave. St. Paul Avenue turns into Cleveland Avenue after approximately 1 mile. Continue on Cleveland Avenue for 2 miles (you will cross Summit Ave. Don’t turn on Summit Ave). Turn left onto Selby Avenue. At the intersections of Selby Ave and Finn St (at the stop sign), turn left into campus. Morrison Hall is immediately on the right, with parking available in the adjoining surface lot. Check in is in Koch Commons, just down the drive on the left.
Campus Parking
Parking permits are not required in most St. Paul surface lots during the summer (June to August). All other parking regulations will continue to be enforced. These include: overnight parking, unauthorized parking in restricted spaces, no parking zones, loading docks, 15-minute zones, handicap spaces, and fire lanes.
- Day Parking Options (between 6:00am – 2:00am):
- Red or Yellow lots (Lots A, B, C, G and the R2 & R3 ramps for North Campus; Lot U for Mid-Campus; Lots M, O and Anderson Parking Facility for South Campus)
- Overnight Parking:
- Ramp R3 – located under Morrison Hall or Ramp R2 – located under Morrison & Flynn Halls
Campus Transportation
St. Thomas is well connected to the surrounding metro area through multiple Metro Transit routes.

Recreational Facilities
Guests can purchase a $10 day pass to the Anderson Athletics and Recreation Complex. It is equipped with a full gym, and the guest pass includes access to the pool during open lap swim hours.
Wireless Network Access
- UST-Open: UST-Open is unencrypted and is meant to serve guests and devices that are not compatible with encrypted networks. While this network is targeted to guests, it is open to faculty, staff, and students, but does not offer the security of encryption. The UST-Open network requires re-registration every 24-hours, is configured to limit bandwidth, and is meant to provide Internet services only.
- Eduroam: Wireless network for use when visiting participating locations. Eduroam (educaution roaming) is a secure service that allows students, faculty, and staff to obtain Internet connectivity when visiting other participating institutions across the U.S. and around the globe. Learn how to connect to the eduroam network and find participating locations.
Prayer Space
The Chapel of the Redeemer is located in Koch Commons and will be open during the summer for prayer.
Take a few moments for private prayer and reflection.

- Summit Marketplace is an on-campus convenience store in the Anderson Student Center with snack options, groceries, toiletries and more.
