Application Process

The application for Murray Institute funding is embedded within the University of St. Thomas graduate admissions application for approved programs.

The admissions application is reviewed by the School or College the applicant is applying to. The funding application is reviewed by the Murray Institute.

Applications are reviewed monthly, but Murray funding is managed each term and may not be available for the applicant’s desired term. Applicants will be notified of funding availability once the funding application has been completed.

Confirm Your Eligibility for Murray Funding

  • Benefits-eligible employee of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis in educational ministries (no minimum years of service required).
  • Hold a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • Submit a personal statement essay.
  • Obtain a letter of recommendation from your principal or pastor.
  • Commit to working within the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis for the duration of the program and up to 3 years upon completion of the program.
