Spring Break VISION Trips

Dip your toe into immersive volunteering and explore the different communities across the United States. This week-long domestic spring break trip is the perfect amount of time to be intentional and connected with local communities.

Spring Break 2025 Experience:

Feed. Clothe. House. Heal. At St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) in Phoenix, Arizona.

Spring Break 2025 Program Timeline:

  • Program Applications: February 10 to February 21, 2025.

    • Applications are due Tuesday, February 21, 2025.
  • Application Decisions: Will be communicated to applicants, along with scholarship information, by February 26, 2025.

  • Participant Commitment:

    • A non-refundable $100 deposit is due by March 7, 2025.
  • Final Confirmation of Program Commitment:

    • Due by participants at the Large Group Orientation on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Spring into Action: Transform Your Break

VISION: Community Engagement Immersion Trip for Spring Break 2025

Feed. Clothe. House. Heal.

At St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) in Phoenix, Arizona, we believe in the intrinsic value of every person—to serve and be served. This VISION Spring Break immersion is an opportunity to step into community, solidarity, volunteering work, and reflection while living alongside the Phoenix community to address food insecurity, homelessness, and systemic injustices.

This new partnershipis an opportunity to expand the impact of theVISION<program, connect with the Phoenix community, and be part of a team dedicated to volunteering, learning, and justice.

 

What You'll Do:
  • Feed – Serve meals in SVdP’s community dining halls.
  • Clothe – Sort and distribute clothing donations for those in need.
  • House – Assist with shelter and outreach programs.
  • Heal – Build connections and foster a compassionate space.
  • Grow – Work in SVdP’s community garden, helping cultivate fresh food for shelter residents and dining hall guests.
  • Learn#8211; Participate in reflections and discussions on poverty, justice, and systems of oppression.

Where You'll Stay:

Live in community at the new Watkins Apartments, a residential community that will serve as our home base. Build relationships with your fellow Tommies while engaging in deep conversations, shared meals, and intentional reflection.

Dates:

March 23 to March 28 (flights in the process of being reserved).

Trip Cost $1100

(All-Inclusive: flights, insurance, lodging, meals, etc).

Scholarships

We never want money to be an obstacle to participation in a program. There are scholarships available ranging in the 30%-50% of program cost all inclusive trip cost, based on financial need.

Scholarship applications should be submitted at the time you submit the program application.
