Veterans Admissions

Application Process

Due to the college credits that veterans have received from their military service, veterans must apply as transfer students. We accept transfer students on a rolling basis throughout the year until our class is full, so there are no specific application deadlines.

Veterans Resource Center

Think of the center as your home base on campus, a place where you’ll find all the resources you need to help you navigate college and adapt to civilian life. It’s a one-stop shop where you can get all your questions answered and your needs met. Or you can just hang out there and study. Or not study ... it’s up to you.

Yellow Ribbon Program

St. Thomas is a Yellow Ribbon school. That means if you receive the Post-9/11 GI Bill at the maximum Chapter 33 benefit rate (100 percent), you won’t have to pay tuition and fees to attend.

You’ll also receive a monthly housing stipend in addition to a flat annual rate for books and supplies. The only things you’ll be on the hook for are parking and Doritos from the vending machine.

Military Education Benefits

You’ve earned your benefits and we’ll do everything we can to make sure you get them.

Complete the FAFSA

Help us maximize the amount of aid you can receive by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Community College Course Guides

We offer guide sheets that indicate the specific community college courses that meet St. Thomas' core curriculum requirements.
