Fall 2021 Deposit Details
All students are required to submit a single $400 deposit by May 1 to reserve their place in the class.
Since all first-year students are required to live on campus, this deposit also reserves your place in on-campus housing. The date you submit it is one of many factors that determine your housing placement.
Half ($200) of the deposit will be applied to your housing bill at the beginning of the term. If you're allowed an exemption from our residency requirement (the form for requesting an exemption will be available soon), it will instead be applied to your tuition charges. The remaining $200 will be applied to other student fees.
The deposit is fully refundable until May 1.
Spring 2021 Deposit Details
Confirming deposit: Reserves your spot in the class. If you want to attend St. Thomas this spring, you have to submit this by Jan. 29.
Housing deposit: Puts you on the list for on-campus housing. On-campus housing is not guaranteed, and assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
The confirming deposit is a $200 fee that goes toward enrollment processing costs. The housing deposit is $200 and is credited toward your first bill.
Both deposits are fully refundable until Jan. 29.
Paying Through the Mail?
Print the the Deposit Mailing Form for Fall 2021 or Spring 2021 and mail, with your deposits, to the address listed on the bottom of the form.
NOTE: We are still receiving mail, but we won’t be able to process it as fast as usual since most of our staff is currently working from home.
We’ll be flexible and lenient with all deposits received via mail during this time, but we recommend you submit your deposits online to expedite the enrollment process.
If that isn’t doable for you, please contact your admissions counselor to let them know you'll be sending deposit(s) through the mail.
Deposit Refund Policy
Both the confirming and the housing deposits are fully refundable until May 1 (Jan. 29 for spring students). To request a refund of your deposit(s), please complete this form. You will need the email address you used when you applied to complete the form.
Deposit(s) will be refunded within three weeks of the initial request in the form of original payment.
