International Film Fest: Force Majeure  

Presenter: Morten Egholm, DIS

Join DIS Abroad faculty person, Morten Egholm (based in Copenhagen), for a discussion of the Swedish film “Force Majeure” (2014). Described by the New York TImes as a “brilliant, viciously amusing takedown of bourgeois complacency, gender stereotypes and assumptions,” this film will challenge and provoke you. Italian Coffee Culture  

Presenter(s): Thanos Zyngas and Friends 

Join Thanos Zyngas, Director of the St. Thomas Bernardi Campus in Rome, and his chef friends live from Italy as they discuss Italian coffee culture. Bring your favorite cup of coffee and enjoy a dose of Italian culture!

International Film Fest: The Host

Before winning multiple Oscars for “ParasiteSouth Korean director Bong Joon-Ho made “The Host” (2007) a genre-hybrid monster movie. Watch the movie over the week and join St. Thomas Faculty for a discussion of the film. Rated R, available to stream on Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Join Thanos Zyngas, Director of the St. Thomas Bernardi Campus in Rome, and his chef friends live from Italy for a cooking class where you will learn to make amatriciana, a classic Roman pasta dish.

Global Online Micro-Internship Program

Current students interested in pursuing more virtual learning opportunities through the Office of Study Abroad should consider applying to our new micro-internship program. This unique learning opportunity is being offered in partnership with the Career Development Center and the Bernardi Campus in Rome. Through these micro-internships, students will build a unique and meaningful professional partnership with an international company, all from the comfort of their own home! Find more information on our OneSt.Thomas site.
