A Message from the Office of Study Abroad

The Office of Study Abroad and the University‚Äôs Travel Risk Advisory Committee continually assess risk associated with local and global health, safety, and security for all University-approved study abroad programs.  St. Thomas consults with local, national and international organizations during their review and ensures that all programs meet Forum on Education Abroad guidelines. If the University cancels a St. Thomas faculty-led program due to the risk of COVID-19, students will be contacted and refunded any St. Thomas tuition and fees associated with that program. Students studying on Other Approved Programs should consult the cancellation policy associated with their program.

Define Your Own Experience

When you are learning outside the traditional classroom there is no one-size-fits-all program. Complete an internship, volunteer in your new community or conduct in-depth research projects or field-based study. With over 100 different program options in more than 50 countries, there are endless opportunities to make your study abroad experience your own.
