International Admissions and Aid

Financial Aid

St. Thomas is pleased to be able to offer a limited number of merit-based scholarships to international undergraduate students. Awards range from 10% to 70% of tuition.

  1. Apply for admission to St. Thomas.
  2. Submit one or more letter(s) of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or school administrator.
  3. Submit a one-page essay explaining why you deserve a scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded based on a holistic review of each student’s application. We will take into consideration the applicant’s grades in school, exam scores, essay(s), letter(s) of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and any other supplemental materials submitted by the student.

International students generally are not eligible to file the FAFSA, and do not qualify for any federal or state subsidized financial aid.

International students may seek on-campus employment through the Human Resources Department. Any questions regarding your eligibility to work while on an F-1 or J-1 visa should be directed to Office of International Students & Scholars.
