Students Currently Outside the USA
All students intending to enroll with F-1 student visas must submit the following:
- Copy of your passport.
- Documentation of financial support. The total amount of funding you need to show should have been included in your acceptance email. Otherwise, you can subtract your scholarship award from the total cost ($54,933). Click here for more details about acceptable forms of documentation.
After you have submitted these items, we will send your I-20 to the mailing address indicated on your application. When you receive the document, you can use it to apply for your F-1 student visa. Students Currently in the USA on F-1 Visas
In addition to passport and documentation of financial support, you must also submit the following:
- Copy of your I-20.
- Copy of your visa.
- SEVIS pre-transfer form completed by your international advisor at your current school.
After you submit these items, we will coordinate with you and your advisor to determine a suitable date to transfer your SEVIS record to St. Thomas and issue your new I-20. The transfer should occur after you have completed your studies at your current school.

To reserve your space in on-campus housing, you must submit a $200 housing deposit, AND complete the housing 2018-2019 International Student Application and Preference Form.

St. Thomas does not require students to live on campus, but we strongly encourage it for first-year undergraduate students, or students who are arriving in the USA for the first time.
