Introduction
In 2019, Melanie (she/her) joined the Center for Well-Being as the first Director of Health Promotion, Resilience, and Violence Prevention. She was previously at the Dougherty Family College where she was an adjunct professor since 2017 when she moved to Minnesota.
Prior to beginning at the University of St. Thomas, Melanie was an Associate Professor in the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine in the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS) at the University of Alabama. Melanie is still an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama and teaches in the MPH program.
Melanie and her team are working to create a healthier student campus culture with a focus on prevention, education, community health, and well-being.
