Introduction

Kelli received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She has been a teacher and counselor on college campuses since 2005, and loves helping students with a range of identities work through academic, career, and personal concerns.

Kelli believes that successful therapy leads to deeper self-acceptance and connection with the surrounding world. Her therapeutic style balances insight and change, meaning that she works to help you make sense of your broader cultural and life experiences and to use what you learn to improve your daily life. She prioritizes a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationship as the foundation of this work. Kelli is also trained in EMDR and DBT and incorporates these treatments when needed.

Kelli's clinical interests include interpersonal trauma, family and relationship concerns, identity exploration, group therapy, and career counseling. As the CAPS Veteran's Liaison, she also works closely with student veterans and co-organizes St. Thomas' Annual Conference on PTSD Awareness.

In her free time, you can find Kelli hanging out with her family and pets, trying new recipes, playing guitar, golf, and tennis, and hunting for the best bar trivia night in the Twin Cities.
