Supporting Your Work with Students

Whether a professor, athletic coach, faculty adviser or academic counselor, we know that students are having career conversations with many individuals across campus. As vital partners in our work to help students connect their education to potential career paths, here are some ways that you can encourage your students to engage in career exploration:

  1. Promote Handshake and/or create your own Handshake account: The Handshake platform connects students with job and internship opportunities, career events, employers and more.
  2. Share Career Resources: Online resources are available to support your conversations with students as they think about their futures.
  3. Request a Career Presentation: Incorporating a career education element into your course adds value for students. Submit a Presentation Request Form and we will work with you to meet your individual needs.
  4. Refer Students to the CDC: Encourage your students to connect with us.
