Spring Semester 2019 Registration Information
Lifelong learners (age 40-plus) are encouraged to continue their education by taking regular undergraduate classes along with younger students. Participants are welcome to enroll as auditors in a wide variety of courses, on a space-available basis. A list of eligible courses will be printed and available for viewing during the registration dates. A list of available courses will be published to this page two days before the registration day. Please note that the lists are subject to change and all available seats will be filled first-come, first-served on registration day. You may also preview this information online at this link. (Be sure to select Spring 2019 from the semester drop-down box.) Please note that there are limits to auditors in several departments and not all of the courses shown in the online system are auditable through this program. Please call or e-mail the Center with specific course availability questions to avoid disappointment on registration day; do NOT contact instructors or departments regarding course availability. Please note that we are not able to place auditors in graduate level classes.
Registration Fee: $125 per course. Limit of two (2) courses per student. (Please note that the fee for this program is 10% of the current single credit undergraduate tuition rate and will change annually based on the then current undergraduate tuition rate.)
Auditors through this program take the classes free of tuition charge, but pay the registration fee, plus pay for books, laboratory, physical education, music, photocopying, or other fees. Students may participate in class discussions, without writing papers or taking exams. No college credit is earned, and courses taken do not count toward completion of degree or certificate programs. You can preview the required textbooks for courses on the bookstore website (http://tommiebooks.stthomas.edu/tommiebooks1/SelectTermDept.aspx)
