Directions

There are four options for getting to the Bernardi Campus from Fiumicino Airport:

1. Contact a car service before your flight (upon request, Thanos can provide you with e-mail addresses for car services in Rome). The driver will pick you up at your terminal and drop you off at Bernardi (Lungotevere delle Armi, 16). The cost is approximately €40 plus tip.

2. Take a taxi. There is a taxi stand located outside the arrivals terminal. The cost should be around €50-55.

3. Take the "Leonardo Express" train from Fiumicino (€14 per person) to the Termini station (Rome’s main train station). It’s a half-hour, non-stop ride. Directions from Termini station to the Bernardi Campus can be found below.

4. You also may take a coach bus run by the Terravision company. Visit the information desk at the airport for the Bus location and price information. The coach bus will drop you off at the Termini station. See the directions from Termini station below.

There are three options for getting to the Bernardi Campus from Ciampino Airport:

1. Contact a car service before your flight (upon request, Thanos can provide you with e-mail addresses for car services in Rome). The driver will pick you up at your terminal and drop you off at Bernardi (Lungotevere delle Armi, 16). The cost is approximately €40 plus tip.

2. Take the C.O.T.R.A.L. bus (blue bus) from the bus stop outside the airport. You will need to buy a bus ticket before you get on the bus. Go to the Anagnina Metro stop (Linea A). Be sure to buy a Metro ticket. From Anagnina take the Metro (Linea A) toward Battistini. Get off at Lepanto. Walk up the stairs to the main floor of the station and look for the signs that point toward Viale Giulio Cesare. Turn right, exit the station and begin walking toward the river to get to Lungotevere. We are on Lungotevere delle Armi, 16 (facing the river). The walk from Lepanto to Bernardi is about 13 minutes. There are several streets that begin with “Lungotevere”; we are on Lungotevere delle Armi (across from the Ministry of the Navy with the big Italian flag at the top, on the other side of the river).

Keep in mind that you must have a ticket to get on the Metro. Buy a Metro ticket from the ticket machines or a newspaper stand. Validate it at one of the yellow Metro ticket machines prior to entering the Metro platform. Be aware that the Metro (Linea A) runs only from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

3. You also may take a coach bus run by the Terravision company. It is located outside the arrivals terminal. The coach bus will drop you off at the Termini station. See the directions from Termini station below.

From Termini, take a taxi or the Metro (Rome’s subway) to Bernardi. If you choose the Metro, take Linea A toward Battistini and get off at Lepanto. Walk up the stairs to the main floor of the station and look for the signs that point toward Viale Giulio Cesare. Turn right, exit the station and begin walking toward the river to get to Lungotevere. We are on Lungotevere delle Armi, 16 (facing the river). The walk from Lepanto to Bernardi is about 13 minutes. Be aware that the Metro (Linea A) runs only from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

You may take a taxi (Thanos can provide recommendations) or public transportation to the airport. You have two public transportation options.

Take the train. The Metro opens at 5:30 a.m. If your flight is too early to take the Metro to Termini, ask Thanos to assist you in calling or reserving a taxi for you in advance. Once you are at Termini, take the "Leonardo Express" train that will take you directly to the airport. You can buy your train ticket (€ 14) at an automatic ticket machine or at the ticket counter. The "Leonardo Express" train departs from platform #24 or 26 (the platform number changes every so often), every 30 minutes. The train takes 30 minutes to get to the airport.

You may take a taxi (Thanos can provide recommendations) or public transportation to the airport. You have two public transportation options.

  2. Take the bus. During Metro hours (5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.) take the Metro from Lepanto (nearest Metro stop to Bernardi) and go all the way to Anagnina. Once you get off at Anagnina, you can buy a bus ticket (C.O.T.R.A.L. bus – blue bus) from a ticket counter. The bus will drop you off outside of Ciampino Airport.
