A little about me

I grew up in Green Bay, Wisc., approximately four hours east of the Twin Cities, where I attended high school at Notre Dame Academy. I graduated from St. Thomas in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. In my free time I love to explore St. Paul, eat soup, read and watch my Packers play! I enjoy all kinds of music, but if I had to choose one artist to listen to, it would definitely be Michael Jackson.

Why I chose St. Thomas

Initially in my college search, I focused on public and private schools in Wisconsin. I knew I wanted to get away from home and go to a mid-sized school that wasn’t quite in a big city but had access to those “big city” events and activities. While on a cross country trip to Minnesota, my high school team stopped by St. Thomas to wander around during our spare time. I was instantly reminded of home. I loved the safe, residential area that surrounds campus and the opportunities that small class sizes would present to me in school. Even better, St. Thomas allowed me the opportunity to go to downtown St. Paul/Minneapolis whenever I wanted to. After narrowing my search down to two schools, I did an overnight visit at St. Thomas and had the chance to experience campus at night. The next day, I knew that I wanted to be a Tommie.

A word of advice when choosing a college

Decide what you want your college experience to be like! There are so many great schools out there, but ultimately your decision will come down to finding the right fit. Try to imagine what your next four years will be like on campus. Many colleges have great academics, activities and locations but “fit” at a school only happens once. Go on a campus tour, meet with your admissions counselor, talk with professors and find your fit!
