Introduction

Luis (he/him) has a dual Master's degree from Boston College in Social Work and Business Administration (MSW/MBA). Luis has a background in hospital administration, project management, and clinical planning. Luis has also served as an adjunct professor at Boston College's Graduate School of Social Work and at the University of St. Thomas.

Luis is the Executive Director of the Center for Well-Being and is a senior-level administrator responsible for inspiring, leading, and overseeing the Center for Well-Being at the University of St. Thomas. The Center for Well-Being, created in 2019, is the university's integrated health and well-being center, which includes Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Health Promotion, Resilience, and Violence Prevention.

The Center for Well-Being provides compassionate care, expertise, and resources to help members of our community thrive in and out of the classroom. Luis advocates for student health and well-being especially that of underrepresented populations and champions the vision for an integrated approach to supporting the well-being of the students who attend St. Thomas. Luis provides strategic and inclusive leadership for the collaborative and multidisciplinary team of health services, mental health services, administrative services, health promotion, violence prevention, and outreach to support students' learning and success.
