Loan Information
Student loans are ways of financing your graduate and professional education and often have the option to defer payment until after you have completed your program.
If you are unable to pay for all of your costs of education out of your resources or a combination of your resources and scholarships or other grants you are offered, you may want to consider borrowing a student loan. There are four types of student loans that the University of St. Thomas offers to graduate and professional students:
- Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans
(available to degree-seeking students only) - Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans
(available to degree-seeking students only) - Federal Direct Subsidized Loans
(available only to licensure students in the School of Education) - Private Educational Loans
(available to degree-seeking and certificate-seeking students)
