Himani Joshi and GHR Fellows

The GHR Fellows program through the Opus College of Business is a highly competitive, immersive four-year experience for undergraduate students pursuing careers in business. Fellows participate in customized programming and receive full-tuition scholarships to the University of St. Thomas.

"We have access to this wonderful network. We have wonderful advisors – all these people who are supporting us along the way," said GHR Fellow Himani Joshi '23. The third-year scholar is especially impressed by the programming and networking opportunities. "We have a monthly service outing and every month we do a GHR seminar."

During her first year with the inaugural cohort, they visited the Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis and had an opportunity to directly interact with the retail owners and staffers. "We learned how they partner with some of their clients and how they service the community," she said.

Minnesota-born Joshi is no stranger to serving her community. When she was still in high school in Shakopee, she worked at Valley Fair and interned for Scott County. She also competed in DECA, which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management while still in high school. The experiences fueled her interest in business. Today, she is majoring in business management with a data analytics minor at the University of St. Thomas. She is a Tommie.
