How many departments are in the Division of Student Affairs?

There are 13 departments in the division of Student Affairs which include: Anderson Student Center, Campus Life, Career Development Center, Child Development Center (Retired), Counseling and Psychological Services, Dean of Students, Health Services Retired and Wellness Center, Office of International Students & Scholars, Office of the Vice President, Residence Life, and Student Diversity & Inclusion Services.

What opportunities for involvement are available for students?

Campus-wide programming is provided by a variety of groups on campus including Campus Life, Residence Life and the St. Thomas Activities and Recreation (STAR) board. There are opportunities to serve as mentors or be mentored through International Student Services, as well as Student Diversity and Inclusion Services.  Events for students on campus include dances, movies, lecture series and other events. Each year over 1,000 students are involved in intramural sports available through Athletics. Whether you are interested in sand volleyball, floor hockey or dodgeball, there are many intramural sports in which to participate.

What are the academic credentials of the staff in the Division?

Over 59% of the staff possess a Master's degree or above in their area of expertise. At the doctoral level, there are eleven staff in the Division.  Over 29% of the staff are alumni of the University of St. Thomas.
