Give to the Murray Institute

The work of the Murray Institute is ongoing. The cost of providing graduate education to Catholic school teachers, administrators, and parish ministers of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis becomes greater with each passing year. Likewise, the skills needed to reach our increasingly diverse parish and school populations multiply. Moreover, in the next 10 years, the Archdiocese is expected to experience a considerable turnover in skilled and experienced educational ministers as those who have given their lives in service to this Archdiocese move toward retirement.

The Murray Institute operates solely from the income generated by its endowment funds. The endowment was established in the 1960s with $500,000 in donations from Archdiocesan parishes. Since then, contributions large and small have brought the total to $11 million. However, the target for an endowment that can be sustained for the long term is $20 million. Every contribution to the Murray Institute increases the income that the endowment generates. As more income is generated, more Archdiocesan teachers, administrators, and parish ministers can participate in the Murray Institute’s graduate degree programs and non-degree projects. Please help the Institute with your contribution. We thank you!
