Welcome to the homepage of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences.
Our department offers majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, and, in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics, an interdisciplinary major in Statistics. Additionally, there are tracks in Computer Science and Information Systems majors which allow students to complete a Master of Science degree through the Graduate Programs in Software (GPS). Each is described in detail on this web site under the Majors and Minors link to the right.
Our Faculty are dedicated teachers who enjoy working closely with students both inside and outside of the classroom. They are also active scholars in their fields and enjoy working on research projects with undergraduate students.
We have a close-knit community of students, many of whom are involved in the Computer Science Club. The club meets weekly, and typically features speakers from local companies. It is a great way for students to get involved, make friends, and learn about great job opportunities.
To learn more about the department, explore the links on the right, and also check out the Department News to see what our faculty and students have been up to lately.
