Affiliate Programs

We partner with a number of approved study abroad providers in order to offer an exceptionally wide range of options – there is truly an opportunity for every major.

Affiliate programs have been thoroughly reviewed by the University to ensure academic rigor, excellent on-site support, and high standards for health and safety.

These programs provide options in over 40 countries and offer a variety of program models. Many include research and internship opportunities.

Even if you have some ideas about where, when and what you would like to study abroad, we strongly encourage you to meet with a Peer Advisor in the Study Abroad Office or at a pop-up location around campus for an overview of study abroad options and some initial considerations for how to choose your program. Peer advisors, who have all studied abroad for at least one semester, are a great resource for questions about what it’s like to study abroad. Peer Advisors take walk-in appointments, and when you are ready you can attend a scheduled First Step Session or watch one online. Attending a First Step Session is required before meeting with a Study Abroad Advisor to open an application.

If you are interested in applying for a program through one of our approved program organizations for a semester, summer or academic year, start by thinking about some advising questions. The questionnaire for creating your Advising Profile asks about your interests, as well as topics you wish to discuss, to help make the most of your meeting with an advisor.

During your advising appointment, a Study Abroad Advisor will review any questions you have, talk about program selection, getting courses approved, and the application process. Meeting with an advisor is required in order to apply to a semester, year-long or summer program through one of our other approved programs.

We are currently offering Zoom advising appointments for students interested in semester, summer, or academic year programs. Schedule an appointment by visiting the Student Resources section of our OneSt.Thomas site.
