Student Leadership Opportunities
Campus Ministry depends upon the leadership and service of students at St. Thomas. Students can get involved in the many Campus Ministry events and activities as student leaders and volunteers. Some of the ways you can participate are:
Peer Ministry
Are you interested in living out the Gospel message to love and serve your neighbor by doing outreach to the undergraduate student body? Peer Ministers are a group of 8 students within Campus Ministry committed to this Gospel call. Peer Ministers offer welcoming, guidance, compassion and faith-filled support for their peers. They also offer a safe place for the soul to question, ponder, explore, grow, and develop faith. Peer Ministers invite students to opportunities for spiritual development and faith awareness through prayer, faith sharing, and faith related programs and activities. Peer Ministers help build hospitable community, and are available to students for listening and referral opportunities. The Peer Ministry team also leads and participates in various retreats offered through Campus Ministry. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Minister and would like to learn more, please visit the Peer Ministry page.
Retreat Teams
Each year, the Campus Ministry team draws upon the amazing talent of students in creating and offering powerful retreat experiences for students throughout the year. We often need peer leaders for leading talks, small groups, and music. Talk to Marta Pereira if you are interested in being part of a team. We would love to have you!
