Global Online Program Opportunities and Upcoming Study Abroad Information Sessions

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the university has made the decision to suspend all Spring 2021 study abroad programming. The Office of Study Abroad is working to create Global Online (GO) service and internship opportunities for students. If your student is interested in learning more about Global Online (GO) programs, they can reach out to the Office of Study Abroad at studyabroad@stthomas.edu.

The Rome Empower Program is designed for first semester sophomores and prepares students to excel in a changing global marketplace. The priority application deadline for the Fall 2021 cohort is December 15, 2020. Dates and times of the remaining Zoom information sessions are on our event calendar. Attendance at one session is required to apply.

To learn more about future study abroad opportunities, encourage your student to attend a First-Step Session with a Peer Advisor. During this session, our Peer Advisors will introduce your student to the types of study abroad opportunities available, basics about costs and scholarships, and help students identify questions to ask and goals to set to find the right study abroad experience for them. Sessions are offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and can be accessed by students via our event calendar.
