Dr. Corrine Carvalho, Theology Department, College of Arts and Sciences, is the editor of a trio of books: Anselm Companion to the Bible, Anselm Companion to the New Testament and Anselm Companion to the Old Testament, published by Anselm Academic (Winona, Minnesota, 2014).
Dr. Massimo Faggioli.
Dr. Massimo Faggioli, Theology Department, College of Arts and Sciences, is the author of an article "La chiesa globale vista da Hong Kong," which is a reportage from the course on the church and Council Vatican II Faggioli taught Sept. 21 in Hong Kong. It was published in the Italian Catholic journal Settimana. He also wrote a lead article on the Synod of Bishops in The Tablet of London: “The Synod without a Script.”
Dr. Paul Niskanen, Theology Department, College of Arts and Sciences, had his new book, Isaiah 56-66, published as part of the series Berit Olam: Studies in Hebrew Narrative & Poetry, Chris Franke, series editor; Liturgical Press, Collegeville, Minnesota, 2014.
Dr. Theresa Rothausen
Dr. Teresa Rothausen, Management Department, Opus College of Business, is the author of two book chapters. She and Dr. Dawn M. Bazarko, senior vice president at UnitedHealth Group, are co-authors of the chapter “Business Education for Nurse Leaders: A Case Study of Leadership Development in a Vital, Highly Gendered Industry,” which is forthcoming in the UN PRME volume Integrating Gender Equality into Management Education. Rothausen is also author of the chapter “Organizational Dependent Care Support,” which is forthcoming in the Oxford University Press volume Oxford Handbook of Work and Family.
Sarah Spencer
Sarah E. Spencer, director of Study Abroad, International Education, presented "Key Models for Attracting External Funding to Expand Student Mobility" Sept. 19 at the European Association for International Education, Prague. She was joined by colleagues from Universita Cattolica, Milan, and VU University in Amsterdam. Sarah also was recently elected vice chair, Forum Council, Forum on Education Abroad.
Dr. Mark Stansbury-O'Donnell
Dr. Mark Stansbury-O'Donnell, Art History Department, College of Art and Sciences, had his chapter, "Menelaos and Helen in Attic Vase-Painting," published in J. H. Oakley (ed.), Athenian Potters and Painters III (Oxford: Oxbow Books). The chapter was developed from a paper presented at the International Conference of the same name in September 2012.
Father Kevin Zilverberg
Father Kevin Zilverberg, assistant professor of Sacred Scripture, Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity, gave a series of four biblical lectures in Latin at the annual conference of the Family of St. Jerome. It was held Aug. 1 to 4 at Visitation Monastery, Mobile, Alabama. The presentations treated the Latin Bible as translation from Hebrew, with special attention given to Hebrew verbal forms, and to Genesis 37:1-11 and First Samuel 1:7-11.
