Monica Gould

Prior to joining the University of St. Thomas School of Law staff, Monica worked for nine years as a litigation attorney, spending the majority of her legal career at Bowman and Brooke LLP where she represented a diverse group of clients, counseled stakeholders on risk and high-level decision-making, handled arbitrations and mediations, negotiated settlements in complex litigation cases, and interviewed and hired new associates. Throughout her career, she traveled extensively and represented clients in numerous jurisdictions both in state and federal court.

Monica remained active with the University of St. Thomas School of Law after graduation, serving on its Alumni Board from 2005 through 2009 and serving as President of the Board in 2008. She devoted her time and talents by also serving on a number of committees within the St. Thomas School of Law community, including the Annual Fund Committee, Program Committee and as an Ambassador to the Admissions Department. As an adjunct with the Center for Career and Professional Development, Monica provided advice to students and graduates on their application materials, conducted mock interviews, and provided career search strategies. Monica is also a Barrister with the Warren E. Burger Inn of Court, an organization designed to promote excellence in the legal community, foster a greater understanding of the adversary system and to nurture meaningful dialogue among colleagues within the broader legal community.

Monica is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In her spare time, she volunteers as a youth volleyball coach, providing instruction on volleyball skills, teamwork, communication and leadership.
