Keepin' it Real: Free Speech in the Real World

Join the Federalist Society for a discussion on the First Amendment.

Date & Time:

Tuesday, October 22, 2019
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Location:

MSL 235

Unlike other rights, the First Amendment only truly exists if we really believe in it. Hate Speech isn't a legal term, however it is becoming a cultural term that has allowed people to justify censorship and is slowly creating a society where we put self-censorship before Free Speech. Join Shelby Emmett, First Amendment Attorney and Director of the Center to Protect Free Speech to learn how the First Amendment is under attack from ourselves.

This event is being coordinated by the Federalist Society.
