Co-sponsored by Knock First Minnesota and the Terrence J. Murphy Institute for Catholic Thought, Law, and Public Policy.

Knock First Minnesota and the Murphy Institute have joined together in collaboration to co-sponsor this discussion on no-knock warrants and their dangerous impact on our Minnesota community.  The panel discussion will explore the changing laws on no-knock warrants in Minnesota, their impact on individuals in our community, and the effects these policies have on the respect of human dignity.

Knock First Minnesota is a non-partisan initiative created by the Community Justice Project at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Established in the fall of 2020, the mission of Knock First Minnesota is to ban the use of no-knock warrants in Minnesota through comprehensive legislation. The vision of Knock First Minnesota is to give all Minnesotans an opportunity to answer the door.

The Terrence J. Murphy Institute is a partnership between the Center for Catholic Studies and the School of Law which works to engage the church, the academic community and the public in rigorous discussions that bring historical and contemporary Catholic perspectives to bear on debates about law and public policy.
