For more than 25 years, St. Thomas alumni and friends have been drawn to the First Friday Speaker Series luncheons to network and hear first-hand from the community’s most interesting “thought leaders.” Their often candid and always relevant messages offer a unique perspective on the common good, and divulge what’s next for Minnesota and beyond.

About Gaye Adams Massey

Gaye Adams Massey is CEO of YWCA St. Paul, an organization whose mission of eliminating racism and empowering women is advanced through education, advocacy and programs that help bridge disparities in access and opportunity. YWCA St. Paul provides supportive housing for homeless families, employment training and workforce development services, youth development programs and health & fitness services.

Ms. Massey joined YWCA St. Paul after a career in law, most recently serving as Senior Deputy General Counsel for UnitedHealth Group.  She founded UnitedHealth Group’s award winning pro bono program, which provides a variety of free legal services to individuals and nonprofit organizations.  She serves on the Workforce Development Board of Ramsey County, the President’s Advisory Council for Saint Paul College, the Partnership Council of St. Paul Promise Neighborhood, the Young Women’s Initiative MN Council and is board chair of Way to Grow.  Ms. Massey is a graduate of Wellesley College and Harvard Law School.
