Honors Scholar Speaks at Commencement

Divine Zheng delivered the student address during the undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 19.
Zheng is a Aquinas Scholar. She was a History and Justice and Peace Studies double major, Excel! Research Scholar, Students for Justice and Peace Coordinator, and St. Thomas Nobel Peace Prize Forum Delegate.
Zheng’s speech, titled “The Persistent Necessity of a Liberal Arts Education,” explored themes of critical thinking and interdisciplinarity and encourages the formation of dialogue from disagreement in our polarized society.
