Talk on 'Student Rights With Police and Public Safety' is Thursday

The UST Pre-Law Society invites students to a presentation on "Student Rights With Police and Public Safety."

The presentation will be held at noon Thursday, Nov. 29, in Room 201, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts. Free pizza and pop will be served.

Wells Farnham, a crime prevention officer for UST Public Safety, and Nicole Fredricks, a criminal law attorney, will speak about student rights with police and public safety officers. Possible issues include: room-search rights, alcohol consumption-and-possession violations, and testimonial rights.

After the talk, Farnham and Fredricks will take questions from the audience.
