Student Affairs hosts Orientation & Registration Appreciation Picnic

Jane Canney, vice president for student affairs, and Karen Lange, dean of students, would like to recognize the work of campus colleagues who welcomed 1,283 new first-year undergraduate students and 1,466 of their parents or guests during the summer Orientation & Registration (O&R) programs held in July.

The programs could not be successful without the contributions of faculty, staff and students from all corners of campus. At last count, more than 300 faculty, staff and continuing students presented programs, prepared food or facilities, or otherwise participated in the programs.

If you missed the programs, you can still view parts of the orientation experience here. O&R volunteers are invited to the Appreciation Picnic to celebrate the accomplishments of this summer and to look forward to welcoming more international, transfer and graduate students this fall.

The O&R Appreciation Picnic will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, on Foley Plaza.
