St. Thomas' Glenn Caruso Voted a Finalist for Coach of the Year Honors

St. Thomas’ Glenn Caruso has been voted one of five finalists for the 2010 Liberty Mutual National Coach of the Year award for NCAA Division III football.

The Coach of the Year will be named on Jan. 10, 2011. Fan voting will account for 20 percent of the final vote selection. In addition to fan voting, respected members of the College Football Hall of Fame and national media will vote for the coaches they feel most embody the Coach of the Year criteria.

Fan voting will continue until Dec. 28. Tommie fans can view a short bio and video, and vote for Caruso here (once per day). More information about the award (and a link to vote) can be viewed here.

Caruso’s Tommies went undefeated through the regular season with a 10-0 record, including 8-0 in the MIAC for the league championship. In the post-season, the Tommies defeated Benedictine University (Illinois) 57-10 and Linfield College (Oregon) 24-17, before losing in the national quarterfinals to Bethel University, 12-7, on Dec. 4.
