Discover the Possibilities at Science Careers Expo Thursday Career Development Center March 28, 2013 Students interested in pursuing careers in the sciences are invited to attend the Science Careers Expo Thursday, April 4. Numerous employers representing a variety of occupational fields will be on hand from noon to 1:30 p.m. in 3M Auditorium, Room 150, and the atrium area of Owens Science Hall. Employers will present brief overviews of their organizations and describe the types of positions (volunteer, part-time, internship, full-time) for which they typically hire students and graduates. The panel will begin at noon. The types of organizations represented at the expo: Medical devices and equipment Employment agency focusing on lab positions Laboratory technician and research Museum Following the presentations (about 12:45 p.m.) each organization will have a table in the Owens Science Hall atrium area for individual Q-and-A time and to discuss available career paths within their organizations. Résumés may be collected from potential candidates; however, this is not a job fair – but an opportunity to learn more about science career paths for first-year through senior students. Event is sponsored by the Career Development Center and Neuroscience Club.
