Renter education session is Feb. 25

Unsure about your housing plans for next year? Debating whether to live on, or off campus? Have questions about off-campus housing or the rental process? Would you like a chance to win $500 toward rent or other great prizes?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, attend the renter education session from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, in O'Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.

This informational workshop is open to all students, but is intended for students who are considering renting properties off campus or weighing their housing options for the upcoming academic year. During this workshop, students will learn about rental contracts and leases, how to be a good neighbor, the myths of living off campus and many other topics related to renting.

Attendees will have the chance to win many prizes, including $500 toward their first month's rent or on-campus housing costs (payment will be made directly to the landlord or Residence Life) and a total of 15 gift cards ranging from $25 to $100 in value. Appetizers and beverages will be served after the session.

This event is co-sponsored by the Commuter Center and Off-Campus Services, USG and STAR.
