Byron, 88, of Edina, was a Word War II veteran, an Abraham Lincoln scholar, and a member of the Civil War Round Table. A private interment was held yesterday at Ft. Snelling. A celebration of Byron's life will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 50th and Wooddale, Edina.
