Public Safety Advisory: St. Kate's Student Sexually Assaulted Near 27th and West River Parkway

The University of St. Thomas Department of Public Safety has posted an advisory regarding a sexual assault Monday in Minneapolis.

At 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, an unidentified female, acknowledged as a St. Catherine University student, was walking near the area of 27th Avenue South and West River Parkway in Minneapolis when she was sexually assaulted. The victim was approached by an unidentified male suspect asking for money. The suspect then forced the victim to a nearby wooded area, where she was sexually assaulted.

The victim was able to flee the area on foot and was later transported to an area hospital for medical attention.
