Hall Award for early career psychologists from the National Register of Health Service Providers. The award recognizes excellence in National Register-credentialed psychologists with fewer than 10 years of postdoctoral experience. Award winners have made "a number of significant and exceptional contributions to the advancement of health service psychology in terms of standards for psychological practice and excellence in care." Burns completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston University’s Danielson Center for the Study of Religion and Psychology. Learn more about the award here.Ameeta Jaiswal-Dale, College of Business, co-wrote a paper, "Ethical Stock Indexes: Does Sustainability Pay Off?" with colleagues from two universities in Italy: the University of Siena and La Tuscia University in Viterbo. The paper was presented at the Corporate Responsibility Research Conference Sept. 4-5 at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Jaiswal-Dale attended the Conference on Corporate Governance Aug. 12-14 at the Center for Analytical Research at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India. She is a visiting faculty member at Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord, one of the top five French "Grandes Ecoles" in business management. She was invited to present a weeklong module on global treasury management last spring.Dr. Shersten Johnson, Music Department, presented a paper, "Inspiration as Gesture," at the second annual Conferernce on Music and Gesture in July in Manchester, England. She also chaired a session, "Music, Language and Metaphor," at the annual conference of Music Theory Midwest last spring in Muncie, Indiana.Dr. Eileen Michels, professor emerita of art history, was invited to participate in the eighth annual Arts and Crafts conference in June in Minneapolis. The subject of her paper: "Harvey Ellis and Gustav Stickley: A Reassessment of Their Professional Relationship."
