Yesterday at approximately 1:30 p.m., the majority of north campus lost power. Central systems (Blackboard, Banner, email, Central Storage) in the Aquinas Hall Data Center ran on back-up generator initially, but then had to be powered down because of a lack of cooling in the data center. When power was restored and cooling was functional at approximately 9:30 p.m., central systems were restarted.

Systems in the Minneapolis Data Center continued to be operational during the outage as did UST’s main link to the Internet.

If you experience computer or printing issues this morning:

  • Try rebooting your computer. If you are unable to reach MyStorage from your computer, a reboot will likely help.
  • Make sure that MFDs and printers are powered on.
