Open-session interview schedule announced for chief academic officer candidates

Dates, times and locations for open-session interviews have been announced for the three finalists for the University of St. Thomas executive vice president and chief academic officer position.

All members of the St. Thomas community are invited to attend the open interviews.

The three finalists selected by a search committee are Dr. Susan Huber, interim executive vice president and chief academic officer at St. Thomas; Dr. Mary Ellen Beadle, until recently the provost and academic vice president at Assumption College in Massachusetts; and Dr. Kenneth Porada, provost at Dominican University of California.

  • The interviews for Huber will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24. They will run from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center on the St. Paul campus and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 460 of Terrence Murphy Hall on the Minneapolis campus.   • The interviews for Beadle will be held Monday, March 2. They will run from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center on the St. Paul campus and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 460 of Terrence Murphy Hall on the Minneapolis campus. A curriculum vitae for Beadle can be found here.
  • The interviews for Porada will be held Monday, March 9. They will run from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center on the St. Paul campus and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 460 of Terrence Murphy Hall on the Minneapolis campus. A curriculum vitae for Porada can be found here.

It is expected that a new executive vice president and chief academic officer will be selected in April and start here on July 1.
 
The new executive vice president and chief academic officer will fill the position formerly held by Dr. Thomas Rochon, who left St. Thomas last July to become president of Ithaca College in New York.
