'Turnaround of a Pro Sports Team' is topic of Master's Pub speaker on Friday, Nov. 13

Andy Arlotta, co-owner and vice president of the Minnesota Swarm lacrosse team, will speak at the next event in the Master’s Pub Business Conversations series. His topic is “Turnaround of a Pro Sports Team.” He will discuss what the Minnesota Swarm did to implement a turnaround by cutting expenses and taking actions that increased revenues.

Graduate business students are invited to this session from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Room 201, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus. Light food and beverages will be available.

Arlotta is responsible for all aspects of the Swarm’s day-to-day business operations, including sales, sponsorship, marketing, community relations, broadcast and communications. Prior to joining the Swarm, Arlotta spent 10 years working in the health care industry in sales and management. Most recently, he served as national account manager at Managed Healthcare Associates, a group purchasing organization for specialty pharmacies.

He serves as a board member of Homegrown Lacrosse, vice president of the board for the Minnesota Lacrosse Association and represents the Swarm as associate governor in the National Lacrosse League.
