IRT, HR provide new online training resources

Information Resources and Technologies and the Human Resources Department, through its Leadership Academy, announce a new technical skills-development option for UST staff and faculty. The two departments partnered with elementK, a learning solutions provider, to offer a collection of online courses for the standard MS Office suite of applications and for effective business writing skills.

These online courses will provide UST staff and faculty with the opportunity to increase their writing, grammar and MS Office skills at their own desks, at their own pace, without waiting for a schedule of classroom-delivered training and without having to spend departmental dollars for training through outside vendors.

Start with the Leadership Academy

All of the information regarding this online training resource will be housed on the Human Resources Department Web page under the Leadership Academy – Online Training Resources link. Start there, and you also can learn more about this new resource, view the list of course topics and learn how to request an account.

As a bonus, IRT and HR have listed links to other homegrown UST online training resources such as Banner, Murphy Online and Blackboard. Because of the number of online resources available to staff and faculty, the Leadership Academy site might be the best place to begin your search for online instruction at UST.
