Higher Learning Commission Conducting Multi-location Site Visit in December

The University of St. Thomas’ regional accrediting body the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) will visit four of our additional locations in the month of December.

As part of the university's ongoing relationship with HLC, institutions that offer three or more off-campus locations are required to undergo a multi-location site visit. The purpose of the visit is to determine if the institution’s oversight is consistent at each location. An external reviewer will visit the following locations to meet with administrators, faculty members, students and staff.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

Minneapolis Campus
Student Support Services Center, North Mankato
Emergency Operations Training Facility, Fridley

Saturday, Dec. 10

Lakeville South High School

HLC is an independent corporation that accredits degree-granting post-secondary institutions in the North Central region. HLC reaffirmed the university’s accreditation at our last comprehensive evaluation in 2013. At that time, the university was approved for the Open Pathway accreditation process, which involves periodic check points throughout the 10-year reaccreditation timeline. The multi-location site visit is one of those check points.
