oslce boxThe Office of Service-Learning and Civic Engagement is teaming up with community partners, Aeon, Our Saviour’s Community Services, and People Serving People, in support of a clothing and toy holiday drive.

Aeon serves more than 4,000 adults and children by offering them affordable apartments in the metro area. Our Saviour’s Community Services provides educational services for immigrants and refugees, emergency shelter and transitional housing for those experiencing homelessness. People Serving People assists the homeless by providing emergency shelters and programs to get the homeless back on their feet. All three are great nonprofit organizations to support with your donations.

OSLCE is asking students, staff, faculty and friends for items such as: unwrapped toys, winter gear for adults and children, cleaning supplies, socks, blankets and toiletries. To donate toys, clothing for adults and children, and other items to our community partners, simply drop off items in the specially marked boxes at OSLCE’s office location in AQU 313.

The OSLCE team also will sponsor a table Dec. 4, 9, 11, 16 and 18  in Campus Way in Anderson Student Center to collect donations. If these times are inconvenient remember to leave clothes and toy contributions at AQU 313 now until Dec. 18 and please say hello when you do!
