Congratulations to the following winners of the 2006 Theology Essay Contest:
First prize
- Aaron Salasek – “Creation Theology, Theophany and Theodicy: A Hermeneutic on the Theme of the Divine Speeches in Job”
Second prize
- Nicole Biver – “Training for Perfection? Suffering in the Letter to the Hebrews”
- Ry Parrish- Siggelkow – “Does Biblical Theology Have Any Theological Value?”
I am grateful to everyone who supported the essay contest this year by encouraging students to submit papers. Fourteen essays were submitted and the judges had a lively debate over which essays merited top honors. I would like to thank Dr. Corri Carvalho, Father Steven McMichael, Dr. Sue Myers and Dr. Paul Wojda for judging the essays this year.
