Career

In India, Mr. Mallur (“Satya”) Satyanarayan was employed by Siemens corporation where he worked with Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear. He later worked for Tata Consulting Engineers where he focused mainly on Power System Protection for large Generating Plants and High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substations (including a stint in Iran).

In the United States, he has experience working for multiple businesses:

  • Dewberry and Davis – Primarily low and medium voltage switchgear system engineering in industrial and commercial structures.
  • BBS Corporation – Mostly low and medium voltage switchgear system engineering in water and waste water treatment plants.
  • NSP – Protection and Control in the Substation Maintenance and Engineering Departments – Distribution and Transmission (HV and EHV). Also part of the Consultant Management Team.
  • MSE – Supervision of Protection and Control Engineering.
  • Horizon Wind (EDPR) – Managing Engineering Consultants who performed detailed engineering.

Currently Satya works at EDF Renewable Energy where he manages consultants who perform power flow studies. He also manages the technical aspects of the Interconnection process of Renewable Energy Sources with Utilities and Government Agencies – mostly in the Midwest.
