Immigration reform is one of the most controversial topics in this year’s presidential debates.  In this program, we offer two complementary perspectives:  Dr. Deborah Rho, assistant professor of economics at the University of St. Thomas will consider the factors to weigh in a cost-benefit analysis of the economic impact of immigration in the United States and Rev. T. Michael Rock, pastor of Robbinsdale United Church of Christ in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, will relate his parish’s experience in offering sanctuary to unauthorized immigrant families.

This program is part of The University of St. Thomas Law Journal Spring Symposium which will focus on Sanctuary Cities and the interaction between federal, state and local authorities and civil society on immigration policy.

Deborah Rho is assistant professor of economics at the University of St. Thomas‌‌.

Rev. T. Michael Rock is the pastor of Robbinsdale Church of Christ in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
