Susan Stabile is a Professor of Law and Faculty Fellow for Spiritual Life at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. A noted scholar on topics related to the intersection of Catholic social thought and the law, her articles have been published in the Journal of Catholic Legal Studies, the Journal of Catholic Social Thought and the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. Stabile received her law degree from New York University School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the NYU Law Review. After graduation from law school, she was associated in New York and Hong Kong with the international law firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen and Hamilton, where she spent her early years practicing corporate and securities law and later specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Stabile is among the nation’s leading scholars on pensions and employee benefits, and on the intersection of Catholic social thought and the law.
David Vang received a Ph.D. in economics from Iowa State University. Besides being an award-winning teacher, he has performed more than 70 consulting assignments for firms ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations. He has been a CFO for a technology firm through the process of start up to going public, and this experience led him to co-author the textbook Entrepreneurial Finance: An Applied Approach (3rd edition published by M.E. Sharpe).
Moderator:Fr. Daniel Griffith is a UST professor of law whose scholarly interests lie in the area of Catholic Social Thought and Law as well as the intersection of Ethics and Law and Law and Religion. Griffith is a Faculty Fellow of the Murphy Institute for Catholic Thought Law, and public Policy as well as Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
