Gail Bederman is an associate professor of U.S. History at the University of Notre Dame where her research and teaching interests include gender studies, women’s history, the history of sexuality, and interdisciplinary studies of sexuality and morality. She is the author of Manliness and Civilization: A Cultural History of Gender and Race in the United States, 1880-1917, part of the “Women in Culture and Society” series and is currently writing a history of early public advocacy of contraception in Great Britain and the United States.  She received her M.A. and Ph.D. from Brown University.

‌Erika Bachiochi is a J.D. and legal scholar on American Constitutional Law and feminist legal theory.   She is the author of "Embodied Equality: Debunking Equal Protection Arguments for Abortion Rights” (Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy 34.3 2011),  "Women, Sexual Asymmetry & Catholic Teaching" (forthcoming Christian Bioethics, 2013), and is the editor of Women, Sex & the Church: A Case for Catholic Teaching (Pauline, 2010).
