Special Collections and Archives

Special Collections‌The Department of Special Collections reading room will be closed to researchers from June 23 through August 31, 2014 while the department undergoes renovation.   During this time, the majority of the collections will be unavailable.  Departmental staff may be able to provide limited reference service via telephone (651-962-5467) and email (uarchives@stthomas.edu). See this blog post for more information.

The Department of Special Collections and the University Archives at the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library provide access to UST's collection of rare books and manuscripts and archival material from throughout UST's history.  Holdings include more than 23,000 volumes, 2400 cubic feet of manuscripts and archival records, photographs, films, architectural drawings, and ephemera.

The department welcomes researchers from the University of St. Thomas community as well as members of the public.  While walk-ins are welcome during open hours, researchers are encouraged to call (651-962-5467) or email (uarchives@stthomas.edu) to make an appointment to consult specific materials.
